Description

Austrocephalocereus dybowskii also known as Cephalocereus dybowskii is a night blooming cereoid species, mainly branching near the base. It is a hairy and wooly columnar cactus that has fine spines and white hair. The flowers are white, tubular and bell shaped.

Environment

Originating from the hilly regions, this species requires low maintenance and enough sunlight to grow. This needs a little more water than most cacti for a healthy growth.
If kept outside, it requires full sunlight and a bright spot if kept inside. During the growing season fertilizing and watering regularly is the key to best results. During summer, feed it a high potassium fertilizer.

It is an excellent plant for garden rockery settings, desert type landscapes, patios and botanical gardens
