The cucumber plant is a sprawling vine with large leaves and curling tendrils. The plant may have 4 or 5 main stems from which the tendrils branch. The leaves of the plant are arranged alternately on the vines, have 3–7 pointed lobes and are hairy. The cucumber plant produces yellow flowers that are 4 cm (1.6 in) in diameter.
Very vigorous plants and heavy yielding hybrids. Fruits are very crispy, bitter free, attractive and cylindrical in shape. Fruits are small seeded with indigenous taste of about 22-25 cm length and around 300-400 gms weight. Fruits of this hybrid are light green with white. specks
Fruiting starts in about 42-45 days after sowing, duration 85-90 days.
They are very easy to grow and are very prolific. Planted in a section of the garden that receives full sun and has an evenly moist, fertile soil.cucumbers are heavy feeders and demand a steady supply of water. Work plenty of organic matter (compost, well-rotted manure) into the soil before planting to help it retain moisture and to provide the nutrients the cucumber plants will need throughout the season. A soil pH of 6.8 or higher is preferred.
Plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 2 to 3 feet apart in a row. Regularly apply nutrients and plant protection.
