Description

Gymnocalcyum kiko is an odd cultivator and can be easily distinguished for its long and wide pointed tubercles along with its monstrously bumped ribs edges. Seems to be a pretty variable plant with several clones.

It grows up to 10cm tall and 8-15cm in diameter. Deep olive green to yellowish- green that colourful purplish/brownish tinge in full sun.

Areoles are upto 10mm large and flowers are pink in colour.

Environment

Best for half shade but grow well in full sun and full shade too (but in full sun turns an uneven brownish red colour).

Water regularly in summer, keep rather dry in winter, but can handle excessive to few water.

This plant is usually found grafted but it proved to groove well and pretty easy on its own roots too.
