Description

Ligustrum Howardi is a semi-evergreen, upright, bushy shrub with medium sized, with shiny, bright golden-yellow leaves. In summer, the plant blooms with clusters of dense panicles of small, tubular creamy-white flowers sometimes followed by spherical, glossy, black fruit.. Lemon privet will reach a height of 3.5m and a spread of 3.5m after 10-20 years.

The Howardi Ligustrum will attract birds and butterflies alike.

Environment

The Ligustrum thrives in a sunny, partially shaded location with moist, well drained soils. As this is an easy to grow shrub suitable for all gardeners it needn’t require much, if any pruning, perfect for a low maintenance garden or scheme. Cut back in spring any dead or damaged branches which will encourage a healthy growth.
